Welcome to the Empire State Warranty Claims FAQ page. Here, we answer your most common questions about our claims process. If you are a consumer, please visit the consumer FAQ. If you don’t find the information you’re looking for, feel free to contact us for assistance.
*Note: Consumers are not responsible or permitted to file a claim. All claims must be submitted by a repair facility. Repair facilities may file a claim through our start a claim page.
Gap claims are handled through our partner, Nation Safe Drivers. To file a gap claim, you can call the number listed on the contract and email gapclaims@nationsafedrivers.com.
As long as we have all the information necessary to process a claim, including the estimate with the parts and labor breakdown, the current odometer reading on the vehicle, and information about how the vehicle was diagnosed, the typical timeframe for a response is under 30 minutes, provided that the claim is submitted during normal business hours.
The best practice is to file the claim on our website, as that submission form asks all necessary questions for beginning the process. Alternative methods of filing, such as phone calls or emails, can delay the processing time, as we may still have missing information or unanswered questions necessary for our approval process.
All we need is for you to email us the signed copy of the repair order or estimate that was submitted for authorization, and we will pay via digital credit card; or, if you are an in-network repair facility, we can pay via direct ACH, avoiding any applicable credit card fees.
Our In-Network Program provides benefits to repair facilities that we have approved to work with us. The perks include:
- ACH payment on authorized claims
- Adding your location to our online in-network repair facility map
- Any customers with the disappearing deductible perk (which is the default on the majority of our contracts) will have a $0 deductible at any in-network facilities, allowing the customers to minimize any out-of-pocket expenses
- We actively refer business to in-network facilities in a customer’s area

In February of 2021 Empire State Warranty was born but was too small to administrate their own contracts. Therefore they entered an agreement with sidecars truwarranty to white label our name on their vehicle service contracts to kickoff business in NY. By October of 2023, Empire State Warranty grew big enough to create and administer their own programs and effectively launched their own programs. What this means is, any contract sold prior to October of 2023 by Empire State Warranty are fully administered by truwarranty sidecars (now known as rosemark warranty services ) anything afte October 2023, Empire State Warranty fully administers with the exception of a few contracts that might still be under sidecars tru warranty (due to the transitionary period with our selling dealers).

Once i notified Empire State Warranty, they had a check in my hands for the remainder of the contact in under 3 days... SO i purchased another vehicle from a deal outside of their service. After an inspection i was able to once again Purchase a warranty... and then YET ANOTHER driver wrecked my car.. Once again They came through with a refund. ...Fast forward to October last year.. purchased another Ford Escape from one of their participating Dealers... I got the same Warranty i had in the past..... Until last week when i heard a noise in the front end. I took it to Exit 5 Auto... they Diagnosed it as front control arms. Not only was the initial Diagnostics covered, so were the parts labor and the Alignment to the tune of $1700 that i WOULD have had to pay out of pocket. . On TOP of that, ESW allows for a 1 time stipend of $150 towards brakes so i used that and it paid for part of the front brakes. I have ABSOLUTELY NO concerns as a Santa Claus or ad a person with recommending Empire State Warranty. They have been above board each and every time i have dealt with them. Totally recommend them!!! Empire State Warranty is the only company we use for extended service contracts on our Volvos at Precision. We spent over 20 years shying away from warranty companies because they were way over priced, promised a lot, and never actually covered what went wrong. We have known Steve Blanchard for over 15 years, and when we found out he started Empire State Warranty we immediately signed up with him. Years ago we were able to sell all our Volvos without extended service contracts. Parts were less money, emissions laws were different, labor was less, and technology was not as advanced. Unfortunately those days are over and every car on the road has become costly to repair. Parts prices have doubled or tripled in recent years, and more and more parts have become a global network of shared manufacturers. It is almost a necessity these days to protect your investment, no matter what you drive. We would only offer a service contract that actually does what it says, and that is why we use Empire State Warranty. This company is the real deal, and we wouldn't risk our reputation offering something that didn't work.
